Love Prevails
After my last post, most of you know how heartbreaking it was to surrender our dog Oliver to the Humane Society. That night both myself and my boyfriend were heart-broken. For some reason my son was not so upset. I don't think he completely bonded with Oliver like the two of us did. The next day I talked to my boyfriend at work and he was still broken and emotional and then he said something that really broke my heart. He said, "I want my dog back!" That is all I needed to hear. I told him to try and get him back. When calls to the center had no response, he went down there after work. Understand my boyfriend is not a religious person, but yesterday he prayed to get his dog back. At first our fears were brought to light when he was told that when you surrender a pet you can't get them back. However, my boyfriend was able to talk to a supervisor who took pity on him and said, "Take your dog home!" So now after a horrible ordeal, Oliver is back home with us. We know we have a lot of work to do with him which may include obedience training, but in the end prayer and loved prevailed.
Sincerely,
